Carmen Wee is Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS). She serves as a member of the UNCTAD Sustainable Investment Advisory Council since 2023, where she provides guidance and advice on the strategic direction of the work of UNCTAD’s SDG Investors Partnership and the UN Global Sustainable Finance Observatory. Since 2019, she has served on the Singapore Stewardship Principles (SSP) Steering Committee, which, through the Temasek backed Stewardship Asia Centre and the Advisory Committee of the Asia Sustainable Finance Initiative (ASFI) by WWF. Through these committees, she has worked to foster the highest stewardship principles in Singapore and harness the power of the finance sector to create low-carbon, climate resilient economies that deliver on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement. Carmen is currently a member of the IBF Fund Management Working Group.

Carmen is a veteran of the Singapore investment management industry, having headed, in the past 2 decades, global fund houses such as Natixis Global Asset Management and Lehman Brothers in Singapore. She served in senior positions at DBS Asset Management, and was Deputy Director at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) where she undertook initiatives to develop Singapore’s Financial Centre. Carmen held the position of Director, Head of Career Services at NUS Business School, and is also currently co-owner of a physiotherapy chain.

Professor Sumit Agarwal is the Low Tuck Kwong Professor at the School of Business and Professor in the departments of Economics, Finance and Real Estate at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is the Managing Director of Sustainable and Green Finance Institute (SGFIN) at NUS, the Head for the Department of Real Estate at NUS Business School, and a Member of the NUS University Sustainability and Climate Action Council.

His research interests include issues relating to financial institutions, international finance, household finance, behavioural finance, urban economics, real estate markets, capital markets and sustainability. He has published over one hundred research articles in journals like the American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Political Economy, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies among others. He has co-written three books titled Household Finance: A Functional Approach, Kiasunomics, and Kiasunomics2, as well as co-edited two collected volumes titled Impact of COVID-19 on Asian Economies and Policy Responses, and Household Credit Usage: Personal Debt and Mortgages. He writes regular op-ed’s in the Straits Times and is featured on various media outlets like the BBC, CNBC, and Fox on issues relating to finance, banking, and real estate markets.

His research is widely cited in leading newspapers and magazines like the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Economist, and the U.S Presidents Report to Congress. He runs a blog on household financial decision making called Smart Finance. He has won various prestigious awards like the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, Outstanding Researcher Award at NUS, the Paul Samuelson TIAA-CREF certificate of excellence, the Terker Family Prizes in Investment Research Award from the Wharton School of Business, the Glucksman Institute Research Award from New York University and grants from the Russell Sage Foundation and the NBER/Sloan Foundation.

Mr Kok Ping Soon is Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), the apex business chamber championing the interests of Singapore’s business community in trade, investment and industrial relations matters. Prior to his current appointment, Ping Soon was Chief Executive of the Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech), the lead agency driving Singapore’s Smart Nation initiative and public sector digital transformation. He also held various positions in the Ministry of Manpower, National Security Co-ordination Secretariat, Ministry of Trade & Industry, Singapore Tourism Board, Contact Singapore (CS), and Economic Development Board (EDB). He spent six years in the United States working for CS and EDB.

He serves on the Board of SBF Holdings, SBF Connect, Singapore Business Federation Foundation, Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority, Global Compact Network Singapore and Singapore Pools. He is also a member of Singapore International Arbitration Centre, Singapore International Mediation Centre, NUS Institute of Systems Sciences, National Institute of Education Council and a fellow member of Singapore Computer Society.

He leads and manages the regional impact investment portfolio in Southeast Asia and China. En was a Partner and is currently a Senior Advisor of Lightrock, a global private equity impact investment firm initiated by LGT, and he is an appointed member of the Board of Directors of LGT Bank (Singapore). Prior to LGT, En was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong advising investment funds and previously a Corporate Solicitor at Freshfields in London specializing in private equity, M&A, and capital market transactions.

A recognized industry leader, En has served on the World Economic Forum ESG Advisory Group, Asia Investor Group on Climate Change, and the Monetary Authority of Singapore Sustainable Finance Steering Committee. He serves on the Advisory Committee of Triple P Financial Inclusion Fund and the Boards of UN Global Compact Singapore, Asian Venture Philanthropy Network, and the Singapore Venture & Private Capital Association where he co-chairs the ESG Committee. En graduated from the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and is a CAIA charter holder. Winnie is the Senior Vice President for Sustainability at Great Eastern Holdings. She leads the corporate team who is focused on helping the business grow responsibly as the world transits to a low-carbon economy. The remit includes sustainability strategy and implementation, prioritising and navigating ESG risks and opportunities while achieving green and social impact goals.

Winnie is also a Sustainability in Insurance Committee (SIC) representative. SIC, a joint-industry committee comprising representatives from the General Insurance Association of Singapore (GIC), Life Insurance Association (LIA) and Singapore Retailers Association (SRA) tasked with raising awareness of environmental risk and sustainability practices amongst industry practitioners.

Prior to this, Winnie has been the Head of Sustainability (ASEAN & South Asia) for Standard Chartered Bank since 2015. She was responsible for the Bank’s sustainability strategy planning and execution. With the Bank, she has earlier spent eight years in China where she helped set up the local bank subsidiary, and moved on to support the Bank’s branch expansion and later lead the sustainability and community investment portfolio.

Winnie had joined Standard Chartered Bank in 2005. She worked on the Bank’s Group and Singapore Wholesale Banking communications, before relocating to China.

Before joining the Bank, Winnie was a marketing specialist in news and publishing forms – Singapore Press Holdings, The Edge Singapore and Dow Jones & Company.
